  Over the years I have eaten at the Chow Family whenever I was in town and the food was always delicious as was the service. However, it sure has gone downhill since they changed it to buffet style. Was in yesterday and tried the buffet and was very disappointed. Although the flavor was good the food was COLD! Definitely not worth the $16.09 for lunch and I had water as a beverage. In future I will never order the buffet.

  Love the Chow Family, their ginger beef is amazing! Only con would be that the buffet is too overpriced. All you can eat for $20 per one person is a little too much, especially considering that with all of the MSG in the Chinese food, you get full rather quickly which takes away from the "all you can eat" experience. I can't eat more than one plate, and to think you pay $20 for just one plate kind of seems like a rip off... Price should be somewhat lowered in terms of the AYCE buffet.

  Not as good as it used to be. :( Other people seemed to like the buffet. We ordered from the menu. The recipes have obviously changed and I miss the lunch specials. I won't be going back. There are better Chinese restaurants that we'll go to instead.

  Another great meal, I have never been disappointed. We can not drive by Truro without stopping for a meal at the Chow Family restaurant..... Delicious!!

  They have good food and serve you lots of it on your plate. The prices are not too bad either and the restaurant is cozy. The staff are very pleasant as a rule.
